Trolls Under the Bridge? Nah,

I keep resorting to one particular reference in my day-to-day life, and it pertains to arguing on the internet with trolls; it is the same as playing chess against a pigeon. No matter how well you play, the pigeon is just going to knock over all the pieces, shit on the board and prance around as though it one. This seems to be a common theme in society.

If you notice, no matter how genuine or well thought out your voice is, you won't be heard by anyone because the "trolls" will simply act a total fool and their congregations will simply applaud them for making you seem stupid, when the reality is the exact opposite. The populace at large will flock to these cults of personality and blaspheme you over social media for standing up against their inane behaviour and childish antics which, admittedly, can be amusing now and then.

You will never be as popular as them in large circles because you would rather play the game of life than make a sad, pigeon-esque mockery of it. The best you can hope for is a small flock of people who seek similar goals and possess equivalent determination to hold steadfast to progress and maturity. And yet, you will never make a large dent in the world unless you dumb yourself down to their level.

That my friend, is a sad, depressing truth. The world cares more for the pigeons than chess players and the only way to be heard, is to coo louder and "crazier" than everyone else because killing these pests is so deplorable to other pigeons that you're in the shit books regardless.

So, after some deliberation, we find ourselves asking, what can we do to raise the collective consciousness? Well, we know murder is out and those killed will simply serve as a martyr against a chess player "elitism," and we cannot rule out the apparent usefulness of the pigeons from time to time. Their presence does provoke the chess players to attempt better ways of understanding information and can even inspire creativity in relaying the information to future generations. We cannot rule out that. But, how do we undermine the cult of pigeon personality?
